Partners

The consortium

The Project Consortium is composed by five partner organisations all registered in Hungary.
The Project Partners bring together extensive experience in policy, legislation, policy instruments, financial schemes, social, behavioural, engineering, construction, capacity development and communication aspects of energy refurbishment of residential buildings.

Energiaklub

Energiaklub established originally as an environmental association has become a leading “think and do” organization in the field of sustainable energy. Energiaklub is a well-known NGO within Central-Eastern Europe due to its international programmes and networking activities in the fields of energy efficiency and climate adaptation. It conducts research activities, develops local and regional climate and energy strategies, conducts trainings, and communication campaigns. 

  • Role in the project
    Energiaklub will be responsible in the project for the overall project coordination of RenoHUb and will also lead a thematic work package ‘Stakeholder awareness and capacity building’. Specific inputs to other work packages will also be provided by Energiaklub.

Hungarian Energy Efficiency Institute (MEHI)

Hungarian Energy Efficiency Institute (MEHI) is a non-profit analytical and advocacy organization, closely cooperating with economic players such as banks, technology producers, consultants and installers present in the energy efficiency market. MEHI’s mission is to encourage energy efficiency investments through supporting policy and regulatory initiatives of the government and engaging consumers, end users by the provision of information on various aspects of energy refurbishment. 

  • Role in the project:
    MEHI will contribute to the project by leading the work package ‘Launch and operation of RenoHUb model’ aiming to bring the RenoHUb system into motion and hosting the RenoHUb platform and one of the RenoHUb hotspots.
AACM Central Europe Llc (AACM)

AACM Central Europe Llc (AACM) a Budapest-based consulting firm with a geographic scope of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) with strong experience on sustainable energy finance by international financial institutions such as EIB and EBRD. AACM’s relevant experience also includes sustainable energy strategies, preparation of energy renovation plans, energy audits and certification of buildings, energy audits of industrial operators according to the Energy Efficiency Directive (Art. 8) as well as the exploration international financial resources in the low-carbon sector.

  • Role in the project:
    AACM will be in charge of leading the implementation of work packages ‘Baseline research and conceptual design’ and ‘Development of financial schemes’ and will participate in the other WPs with providing specific inputs.

IMRO-DDKK (IMRO)

IMRO-DDKK (IMRO) is a non-profit company aiming to provide effective support to energy efficiency improvement with a special focus on the residential sector. The company is mainly in south-western part of Hungary and the border regions of the neighbouring countries (Croatia, Slovenia and Austria). It has participated in numerous EU-funded projects (Cross-border Cooperation Programs, EuropeAid and Erasmus+ Programmes).

  • Role in the project:
    IMRO will lead work package ‘Stocktaking from pilot renovation actions’ and contribute with its specific expertise concerning in particularly the practical aspects of the energy renovation multi-apartment buildings.

Hungarian Family House Owner Organization (MCSTE)

Hungarian Family House Owner Organization (MCSTE) is a new, innovative, grass-root non-profit advocacy organization. Its mission is to change the mindset of how homeowners with regards to social and economic benefits of energy renovation of homes with a key focus on single family buildings.

  • Role in the project:
    MCSTE will support all work packages predominantly bringing to the project its specific expertise gained on the entire energy renovation process single family buildings.
