A special event took place in Budapest on 27th October 2021: in the framework of the Sustainable Energy Investment Forums (SEIF) initiative, the Second National Roundtable on Financing Energy Efficiency was held. The forum gathered 51 Hungarian experts gathered from national government, support scheme managing authorities, and the financial, energy and energy efficient and sustainable construction sectors.
The roundtable was divided into an introductory plenary session and three thematic breakout sessions, of which one was dedicated to integrated home renovation services (one-stop-shops), where the learnings and challanges of the RenoHUb project were also presented during the discussion.

The introductory plenary session included a keynote speech from Dr Barbara Botos, Deputy Secretary of State for Climate Policy at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, an update on energy efficiency finance from the European Commission (EC) and presentations from the MNB, the Hungarian Electricity Works (MVM Group), and the Hungarian Banking Association. The three thematic breakout sessions focused on putting the Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme (EEOS) into motion in the business sector, on revitalising the market for energy service companies (ESCOs) in the public sector, and on integrated home renovation services.

The event was organised by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) in collaboration with the Hungarian Ministry of Innovation and Technology and the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) .
